CNC Mill/Lathe Operator

Job description:

Full Time positions for Mill/Lathe Setup Operators/Operators. Candidate will

oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee and coordinate machining operations and activities

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion

· Loan and unload equipment and materials

· Be able to setup/operate CNC FANUC control

· Precise setting of all tool offsets

· Must have mathematical skills for calculating set-up requirements, including basic

math, geometry, and trigonometry

· Set up and operate machines with little or no supervision

· Able to read and understand Engineering drawings/blueprint

· Able to plan machining process, Study work orders, drawings, materials,

specifications, and machine capabilities:

· Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) and read drawings

· Must be familiar with G-Code machine language

· Able to design and build set up fixturing

· Maintain general shop safety and cleanliness

· Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency

· Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields

· Familiarity with plant tools and equipment

· Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

· Ability to oversee physical workload

· 4 & 5-axis CNC Horizontal Setup

· Knowledge of FANUC controls

· Functional and Technical Skills

· Attention to Detail

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 – $28.00 per hour
